TPU
Definition from BabyGearLab's Dictionary of Terms
TPU stands for Thermoplastic PolyUrethane, a laminate which makes the fabric like cloth diaper covers waterproof. TPU is attached to fabric via a heat-bonding process instead of via use of chemical solvents or formaldehyde as is found with PUL waterproofing. Not only is TPU waterproof and solvent-free, but it is also biodegradable and better for the environment and your baby's health! Our cloth-diaper testing round-up includes a few unique brands that use TPU laminate: Rumparooz G2 and GroVia Hybrid.
