Bottom Line | Backpack style diaper bag with roomy pockets and a budget-friendly price tag, but it is lower quality and may not last | A small, unassuming bag with tons of organizational potential and a high-quality feel | An affordable diaper bag that offers handy features, but the straps are not the most comfortable | A diaper bag alternative that saves space and minimizes overpacking, but it won't hold everything you need for a full day | Between its unpleasant off-gassing smell and lack of organizational pockets, this diaper bag contender didn't impress |

Our Analysis and Test Results
Ruvalino is a Chinese brand that exclusively manufactures totes and backpacks. With three different diaper bag styles and various non-diaper totes, Ruvalino aims to offer intuitive organization for everyone. Their diaper bags aim to provide enough space for you to pack for your baby's every need while on the go.
Performance Comparison
Likes
The Ruavalino is a decent option for parents on a tight budget. It's a large-capacity backpack-style diaper bag with several pockets. Besides packing your baby's diapering necessities, you may find yourself looking for additional items just to fill the pockets. We like the gender-neutral design of the bag, and the well-padded backpack straps are comfortable enough to carry the bag on a full-day adventure. Tote handles are on the top if you prefer not to carry the diaper bag on your back. However, the backpack straps do not tuck away and are not removable, so they may get in the way if you prefer to use the tote handles frequently.
The bag has three main compartments with a variety of convenient features found in each one. Elastic straps, insulated pockets, and mesh pouches are abundant, providing effortless organization for all of your essentials. One compartment unzips all the way to the bottom for a suitcase-style opening that we love. It allows you to easily reach items at the bottom of the bag without digging through a mess of burp cloths, favorite diapers, and baby teether toys. Other compartments only have a partial zip that makes them more difficult to access, but it keeps things more secure.
You will find a water bottle pocket on each side of the bag, and the elastic around the top was stretchy enough to accommodate our 18oz bottle, but anything wider might not fit. Two insulated pockets in the bag's main compartment keep formula or breastmilk cool for a few hours.
Dislikes
The Ruvalino has a large capacity with lots of great storage options, but due to the flimsiness of the construction, you may not be able to take full advantage of the space. There is more than one report regarding issues with the zippers busting open during use, particularly when the bag is packed to the max. While this did not happen during our tests, we agree that the zippers feel flimsy and do not glide as smoothly as other bags we have used. We had to use two hands most of the time.
The lower quality of the bag also shows in its lack of structure. When you load heavier items, the Ruvalino does not keep its shape very well and can start to sag. After heavy use, it begins to look frumpy and show signs of wear. We did not have any problems with the stitching unraveling, but the craftsmanship did not look as clean, and we noticed a few loose threads.
Should You Buy the Ruvalino Backpack?
The Ruvalino diaper bag is a multifunctional backpack with adequate storage and organization for all your baby supplies and will blend in with your everyday life. While the lower quality of the bag means that it may not be around for years, we think it is a good choice for parents who are on a strict budget but don't want to sacrifice style and convenience.
What Other Diaper Bags Should You Consider?
In our diaper bag review, the Ju-Ju-Be Be Right Back or Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. are top-performers. While they are more expensive than the Ruvalino, they offer high-quality construction and a better user experience. But, if cost is a factor, the Skip Hop Mainframe Wide Open could be a compelling contender and may fit your needs and budget.
