Our Verdict
The Huggies Snug & Dry diaper is a budget-friendly diaper that performed well in our tests for absorption and leakage. This diaper is comfortable and durable, with a combination not seen in most of the competition. Unfortunately, however, this diaper does offer much in the way of transparency in how the diaper is made or what it is made with. We'd love to see more nods for fewer potential irritants and earth-friendly practices. However, if you want an easy-to-find and wallet-loving diaper to try, then Snug and Dry could be what you need.

This diaper has skin-friendly elastic on the sides and back with smooth motion areas for limited chafing. The fabric is softer than the average diaper, and the closure tabs are free of parts that poke.

We also appreciate that this diaper is durable, with very few online reviewers mentioning durability issues. Compared to the competition, we feel confident that it will withstand what baby dishes out, at least until the next diaper change.
The Snug & Dry has a reasonable price point, which is partly why this diaper is so popular and often the diaper of choice for many parents.

Dislikes
We don't like that Huggies is not making any strides toward creating a more Environmentally Friendly or baby health-friendly diaper. While a disposable diaper will always have flaws when it comes to eco-friendliness, the Huggies brand and the Snug & Dry option are not even trying. Huggies does not offer a list of materials used and does not include information on renewable resources or biodegradability. They do not specify whether they are chlorine-, latex-, perfume-, or dye-free. They make no claims or boast about being allergy certified or attempting to use fewer chemicals during processing.

Should You Buy the Snug & Dry?
Huggies Snug & Dry is a popular, inexpensive diaper that parents seem to like. They provide a cozy feel and a comfortable fit that is durable enough to meet expectations between diaper changes. This diaper performed well in our tests for leakage, with no run-off during testing and few reports of leaking from users. It impressed in our tests for absorption, with little moisture transfer during testing, which could mean fewer messes and less skin irritation. The Snug & Dry is an old-fashioned diaper that doesn't seem free of anything, including chlorine, perfumes, dyes, or lotions, which could be a problem for sensitive skin. This diaper also lacks any nods to eco-friendliness. However, if you want an easy-to-find diaper that can potentially save you some money, then the Snug & Dry could be a potential choice for you.
What Other Disposable Diaper Should You Consider?
If you are looking for a diaper that is easy to find with a reasonable price, one to consider is the Hello Bello Premium diaper. As this brand grows in popularity, it is hard to find a store that doesn't have it in stock. It has a higher overall score than much of the competition, offers great absorbency and leak protection, as well as more consideration for baby's health and the earth than Huggies, making it a good choice no matter what your diapering goals.
