Our Analysis

The ERGObaby Organic has been discontinued.

The Organic ERGObaby baby carrier has all the properties of the ERGObaby Original carrier (which we found a lot more comfortable than the sporty ERGObaby Performance model), with the added health benefit of soft 100% certified organic cotton twill and sateen for its shell. Depending on the Organic design you choose, the cost of the Organic version can run anywhere between $15-$30 more (current list price) than the Original or Performance models.

Another option for those concerned with their babies' sucking on the ERGObaby non-organic carriers are ERGObaby's organic teething ($12) or sucking ($20) pads that wrap around the straps; however, the price differential is about the same as just buying the Organic carrier that's completely covered by organic material so you can feel comfortable with baby sucking on any part of the carrier, not just the straps.

With its earthy uniform tones, the Organic Collection has about the same number of design choices as the ERGObaby Original and Designer Collections, but with less pattern choice and brightness.
