Our Verdict

One of the most popular bottles in the anti-colic line up, Dr. Brown's is unique for it's two part “straw” vent. Although we noticed a slight reduction in baby burps, we don't feel it warranted the extra parts and care that this bottle requires. You can read about our similar experience with Dr. Browns Glass version of this bottle.

Our Analysis and Test Results

We were curious to see what all the fuss was about with Dr. Brown's signature vent system. We feel the premise makes sense, but it didn't effect our little tester enough to make up for the extra parts and cleaning required. We are grateful they include a tiny brush to aid in getting that straw clean, or it would have really been a hassle.

When assembled correctly, we liked that this bottle didn't leak.

Feels lightweight, yet durable.

Dislikes


Extra pieces take extra time and care to clean and assemble. It is also very narrow which added difficulty to filling and cleaning.

The nipple is very soft and definitely on the small side. We prefer a wider nipple base.

The measurement markings are extremely hard to read!

Conclusion


Too many pieces that just weren't worth the effort in our tests. If you want to try the Dr. Brown's system, we'd recommend Dr. Browns Glass version for the health aspect.
