Our Verdict

Evenflo got it right when they labeled this bottle “Classic”. It reminds us of the baby bottles from the 50's; simply glass with a white plastic top. The price point is lovely for a sturdy basic, at a street price of just over $3.00 a piece. It landed at 8th place in our test, scoring high on eco-health (no chemical leaching risk like plastics!) but losing some points for a too-small nipple and feeling a bit heavy in-hand for it's size.

Our Analysis and Test Results

We like the simple design and healthy “glass” aspect of the Evenflo, but as was common with all the glass bottles we tested, the heavy feel can take a bit to get used to. With a squirmy baby in hand, we were worried at times about the bottle slipping and bonking him. This bottle didn't come with a handy silicone sleeve to help our grip like the Lifefactory Glass did, and we missed it. That also concerns us when it comes to breakage risk from being dropped. Despite those risks, this a nice little bottle for the price.

Likes


We liked the back-to-basics materials and design of this bottle. Washing and assembling was simple, with no extra parts to worry about.

Dislikes


Nipple was super small and so was the opening of the bottle which makes it harder to fill.

While we prefer the health aspect of glass for our babies, if that's not a concern for you, the downsides to glass (heavy, breakable) may outweigh the benefits.

Since this bottle is glass, it heats faster than a plastic bottle would. Please be aware and always check the temperature before giving to baby. Refer to your users manual.

Conclusion


We liked the Evenflo Classic Glass for it's old-fashioned design and eco-friendly materials. It's small nipple and opening just weren't as feeding or filling friendly as some of the other bottles we tested.
