Our Verdict
The Infantino Grow with Me Convertible High Chair isn't the chair for everyone. It isn't the best quality in the group, and we think the parts are stiff and don't move as smoothly as competitors. However, it does have a reasonable price, and we think the cuteness factor and potential for long-term use can outweigh the downsides. This chair converts to a booster seat and a toddler chair when your little one has outgrown the highchair, giving it a longer lifespan than some of the other plastic competitors in this lineup. It also has a tray insert you can use for food to save yourself from cleaning dishes. Overall, our tiny testers fell in love with this chair, and we definitely see why. That is why we think it is a good choice for families who value adorable and child interest over higher quality. Ease of Use
The Infantino is harder to operate and make adjustments on than some of the competition. The seat recline and the tray removal are stiffer than the competition, and all the joints and springs aren't as flexible and ready to move.

The tray has a built-in plate and cup holder design that is useful for snack feeding, and we like the idea of avoiding extra dishes if you put food on the tray.
The Infantino buckle can be used as a 3 or 5-point version and it is easier to use than the nested buckles on the competition that require putting together the 5 parts at each use.

The harness on this chair can be used as a 3 or 5-point configuration, and both are easy to operate even with a baby in the seat. Reclining the seatback is useful for younger babies, but in our tests, the method is stiff and easier to do before you put your little one in the chair. The Infantino uses low-density foam padding for the cushion, which creates a soft place for the baby to sit, but the foam on our seat was easy to pick at, and we wonder how long it will remain in one piece as your little one grows.
This chair also converts to a booster and toddler chair as your little one grows, giving it a potentially longer lifespan than some of the simpler, less expensive choices in this review. Little ones were drawn to the design and adorable graphics of this chair, and we can imagine them using it long after the high chairs are over (up to 50 lbs).
The Grow with Me has a lot of nooks and crannies where food can fall and get stuck where it is hard to access to get clean.

Ease of Cleaning
The Infantino chair can be cleaned with a damp cloth using mild soap and water; this includes the graphics and cushion. We suspect there is a chance this chair's designer has never given a toddler food because it is designed with more than its share of nooks and crannies for food and gunk to migrate to and hide in. After testing, we suspect there is a good chance this chair will get gross rather quickly compared to some of the easier-to-clean competitors.
The tray insert with the food dividers and cup holder is dishwasher top-rack safe, which is a plus as you may want to use this daily in place of dishware, but we think it is just as easy to hose this off in the sink right after feeding and letting air dry to increase the longevity of the material. Cleaning will be a chore and might require ingenuity and added time.
While the Infantino doesn't offer the highest quality construction we've seen, we think it is likely good enough to get you through the lifespan of the product.

Quality
Sadly, this option isn't the highest quality, and it struggled to match even the cheapest competitor through materials and construction in our tests. We specifically worry that the foam isn't going to survive long enough to function as a toddler chair and find it is easy to pick apart and feel most kids definitely will at some point. Also, the moving parts don't move as smoothly as they logically should, resulting in a stiff operating chair that might cause frustration for parents daily. Overall, the look is unquestionably the most irresistible to children, but the quality might be a no-go for parents if that is what you desire above all else.
The Infantino snaps together easily and the functionality is intuitive.

Ease of Set Up
This chair is one of the easiest in the group to assemble, with clearly labeled parts, good instructions, and parts that literally snap together. We suspect some parents might even be able to get this chair set up without cracking the instructions open for a look-see.
The wheels on the Infantino are too small to work on carpet or moving over thresholds and changes in flooring.

Footprint and Portability
This chair has a relatively wide footprint, even if the design makes it feel slimmer and less intrusive than the visually bulkier competition. It measures 32"L x 24"W x 41"H in our tests, which is about average, neither slim nor obtrusive. This unit has wheels on the two front legs, making it easy to move on smooth surfaces without the worry of the free movement four wheels might create.
The legs of this high chair also fully detach to become a booster for use in a standard chair. While not truly a travel device, we can see taking it to your local restaurant in the car to avoid using a grimy public highchair, and we definitely think it is useful as your child grows and is ready to sit at the main table. These features greatly increase the value of the chair, and it is one of the least expensive products in the review, offering long-term use past toddlerhood.
Should You Buy the Infantino 4-in-1?
If you're on a budget but want a chair kids will be eager to sit in, the Infanto 4-in-1 might be one you consider. However, we caution it did not perform well in most tests and it scored the lowest in the group of ten compelling options. However, if you need the absolute cutest thing to sit in, we can see the appeal for sure.
What Other High Chair Should You Consider?
The Skip Hop Eon 4-in-1 Multi-Stage High Chair is a budget chair that also grows with your child but is made with significantly higher quality components. This chair is nice to look at, easier to use, and significantly easier to clean. Depending on your goals and budget, we think it is the most compelling choice and one that will cause less frustration over time.
