Our Analysis and Test Results
Inglesina is an Italian company with a self-described reputation for making quality, functional baby products designed with style and “built with heart.” Inglesina's founder Liviano Tomasi combined his love for both children and go-karts and created the company's first product in the early '60s, a pram called the “London.” In fact, this is where Inglesina derived its name, which is Italian feminine for the word pram.
Performance Comparison
Portability
Although the Inglesina is not the smallest or lightest among the lineup (okay, arguably not its strongest suits), it does have features that make it travel-friendly. It can fold relatively small, perhaps fitting in your car trunk or luggage for your next family vacation.
We greatly appreciate that its carry bag is attached and hidden under the chair's seat, making it easily accessible and helpful when you're ready to pack up and hit the road. We wish it had a nicely padded shoulder strap instead of a drawstring because it can get tiresome to carry, but this is not a deal-breaker.
Also, this chair is versatile. It can accommodate tables 0.8" to 3.3" thick, which is very generous and will fit almost everything it encounters.
Ease Of Use
The materials and fit of this high chair are exceptional. Babies are well supported and seem comfortable, thanks to thick padding, a high backrest, and a comfortable harness around the waist. One feature that we like is the storage pocket found on the back of the seat. This is perfect for storing small items, such as utensils or pacifiers that are often forgotten on the way out the door but come in super handy during or after mealtime.
With strong rubberized arms and an easy-to-use twist-tight coupling mechanism, the Fast Table feels quick to set up, take down, as well as sturdy. Before attaching the chair to a table, check that the O-rings that hold the harness in place are in the correct position to ensure that the crotch strap is tightly secured.
With all hook-on portable high chairs, it important that you do not attach the chair to a glass table, a flimsy surface like a card table, or a pedestal table with one central support.
Ease Of Cleaning
The Fast Table Chair has a removable cover that can be hand washed and then air-dried, but this entails multiple steps, time, and added vigor. However, wiping the Fast Table's fabric with a lightly damp cloth after mealtime, and keeping an eye out for trapped crumbs stuck in the crevasse around the seat's padding, is enough to keep it relatively clean in between deep cleans.
