We feel that it stays in place, and you can slather on a thicker layer of the product without worrying about drips or excessive greasiness. In our experience, lanolin is king when forming a barrier to hold in moisture and protect against chaffing, but this Honest balm comes in a very close second. Earth Mama, Boobease, and Motherlove all list olive oil as their first ingredient, so olive oil is what you smell. While not exactly unpleasant, it is a scent that some people would choose to wear if there were other options.
