Our Verdict
The Inglesina Quid 3 is a lightweight travel stroller with a large canopy, an easy-to-use brake, good maneuverability, and generous ventilation, including a large peek-a-boo window. It scored about average for quality and kid comfort, but while it has a compact fold, the arm bar unnecessarily increases its folded dimension. The storage bin is smaller than you'd expect given its 22-lb weight limit, and access to the bin is minimal; harness adjustments are frustrating, and navigating curbs safely is challenging. Overall, we liked the Quid 3 for its sleek design, but we believe there are better options at this price point or lower that we would recommend over it, depending on what's most important to you. In general, it is a meh stroller we wanted to love but couldn't break out of the friend zone.

Transporting and Storing
The Quid 3 is relatively easy to transport and store, with one quirky design issue that unnecessarily increases its folded size.

The Quid 3 weighs 15.2 lbs. This is a smidge heavier than the average of 14.4 lbs in our review of travel strollers. The heaviest is 16.7 lbs, so this is still manageable. The Quid 3 locks closed, so we could grab it from anywhere to load or unload, and it didn't open on its own.

The Quid 3 folds more compactly than many of its competitors, measuring 19.2"L x 20"W x 32"H, or 5,888 cubic square inches. This makes it easy to carry with the included shoulder strap. Unfortunately, when folded, it measures longer than necessary because the lap bar sticks up. You can remove the bar, but it is a frustrating extra step you won't want to deal with when juggling a child and all your travel gear. Plus, you are left with the question of what to do with the travel bar; the alternative is to leave it at home.

Ease of Use
The Quid 3 is not the easiest stroller to use, and it is considerably frustrating for a variety of reasons.

Fold and Unfold
The one-handed fold on the Quid 3 is relatively easy to achieve, but it wasn't as smooth a process as with other options. While we love that it stands on its own when folded and locks securely, it's hard to tell whether the lock is engaged without testing it.

Unfolding is okay but a little finicky and heavy-feeling, and the required swift opening motion may mean some people need to use two hands, especially shorter users.

Storage
The Quid 3 holds an impressive 22 lbs of items in the storage bin, but access leaves a lot to be desired. The back access opening is smaller and aligned with the seat, so shoving a large diaper bag in requires some effort and will jostle the passenger. Smaller items should pose no problem, but the smaller basket size is worth considering before getting excited about the weight limit.

Harness
Using the Quid 3 harness is a time-consuming, frustrating endeavor that will easily leave most parents regretting their purchase or avoiding necessary adjustments for passenger safety. It was one of the most challenging travel stroller harnesses we tested.

The nicely padded shoulder straps are a standard rethread with three slots in the seat pad for height adjustment, but there are only two holes in the hard back to thread them through! Not sure if this is a manufacturing issue, but it is definitely confusing and limits the adjustment options to only two positions instead of the expected three.

The shoulder and waist straps are very stiff, making it difficult to move the buckles to tighten or loosen. To secure the harness, you have to line up all four buckles to insert them into the main buckle, which will be a challenge with an uncooperative, fussy toddler. On the plus side, releasing the buckle was easy.

Brakes
The one-touch brake is centrally located on the rear axle of the Quid 3 and is simple and straightforward to use. It's a standard rocker-type design where you depress one end of the pedal to set and depress the opposite end to release. We didn't have any difficulties, even when wearing wide Crocs.

Ease of Setup
Setting up the Quid 3 is almost effortless and took less than five minutes, since it's almost fully assembled and only requires attaching the arm bar and rear wheels.
Car Seat Compatiblity
With a separately purchased adapter, the Quid 3 is compatible with car seats from several brands, including Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, and Clek.

Maneuverability
The Quid 3's maneuverability is above average, with a few challenging exceptions depending on the terrain.

On flat pavement, this cruiser feels light and performs well, smoothly traversing the ground with minimal effort. It's a little stiff on turns, but still navigates them well without tipping over, probably thanks to the front tires being closer together than the back.

Off-road on more challenging terrain, the Quid 3 bounces a little, and it can at times be a struggle to keep it tracking straight, but it did surprisingly well. The front wheels can lock, which helps with stability. There isn't any tread on the tires, but their thinner design seems to help with traction.

In our tests, it traversed cobblestones, loose dirt, and small rocks without getting hung up. Going up curbs was easy, but we had to use two hands going down to prevent tipping.

Quality
The Quid 3 scored above average for overall quality, which is what you'd hope for at this price point.

The fabric feels and looks like a waterproof, durable rip-stop nylon that seems skin-friendly, if not the softest amongst the competition. It comes with a pad insert that is about average for density and comfort. The canopy seems well-constructed with an equally durable 50+ UPF fabric.

The wheels are among the softest we've tested, so unfortunately, they will likely wear out faster than most, especially on more rugged terrain. The front wheel is a smaller 5.8," and the rear is 6.1," and despite the soft material, they appear well constructed. The rigid frame has minimal flex and connection points, with no visible rivets to detract from its clean, simple appearance.

Kid's Comfort
The Quid 3 scored above average for passenger comfort, thanks to its attention to detail and several appreciated enhancements.

Seat
The one-handed seat recline is easy to operate with a toggle button and straps, and the options include a low enough angle to facilitate napping. We love the generous ventilation on this stroller, thanks to a zippered curtain that secures with magnets and reveals a large mesh panel for airflow. The fabric is skin-friendly, although not the softest, and the padding on the seat and leg rest seems comfortable. The leg rest requires two hands and adjusts only to straight out or down. To protect against wear and tear, there is a smooth, rubbery cap at the foot area.

Sunshade
The canopy is one of the largest we reviewed and offers almost complete coverage at any time of day with its zippered expansion option and additional pull-down extension. Keeping an eye on your passenger is also easy, thanks to a large peek-a-boo window that secures open with a magnetic clasp. The canopy operates smoothly, appears solidly constructed, and sits high enough to comfortably accommodate taller toddlers.

Should You Buy the Inglesina Quid 3?
It scored below average amongst its competitors, so we wouldn't recommend it, especially considering its price point. Although we liked the generous canopy, passenger comfort, and maneuverability, the frustrating harness adjustment and the design, which has the armbar sticking up when folded and only two shoulder-height adjustments, prevent this from being the stroller it aspires to be. Many competitors earned higher scores, and several are more affordable than the Quid 3. Although most people won't be disappointed with their purchase, we believe there are better options available that we would recommend over the Quid 3.
What Other Travel Strollers Should You Consider?
Depending on what matters most to you, we'd recommend two other options, including the more affordable Zoe Traveler. The Traveler is comparable to the Quid 3 in maneuverability, quality, and kids' comfort, but has an easier-to-use harness design and a more compact fold, at a lower price point. If you have a little bit of stretch to your budget and want higher quality, better maneuverability, and a stroller that will last through multiple excursions and kids, look no further than the UPPAbaby Minu v3. It has a more compact fold, excellent maneuverability, impressive quality, and outperforms the Quid 3 overall for the best return on your investment.
